What to Expect During

Your First Visit

At Kuna Chiropractic

Patient Forms

First, you will be greeted like a welcome guest by our team. We will ask you to complete our New Patient Forms. The paperwork provides us with general information about you and your condition.

Consultation

Second, you will have a 30 minute consultation with Dr. Kevin Rosenlund. He will review your health history, discuss any health issues, identify your top 1-3 goals, and review potential treatment options. Your first visit is designed for Dr. Rosenlund to learn more about you, your condition and your expectations to determine whether chiropractic care can help you meet your goals.

Examination

Third, following your consultation, Dr. Rosenlund will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes, your ability to turn and bend as well as other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical examinations. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

X-Ray Studies

Fourth, your specific condition may require Dr. Rosenlund to take x-rays for more evaluation. X-rays will help Dr. Rosenlund rule out more serious conditions and help him develop the most effective treatment plan.  Most people are amazed when they see their x-rays. Many can easily identify any glaring misalignments or degeneration on their own.

Report of Findings

Fifth, after thoroughly reviewing all of your information and completing all examinations, Dr. Rosenlund will review Your Report of Findings. It will answer the three most common questions new patients ask:

  1. Can you help me?
  2. If “Yes”, what treatment do I need and for how long?
  3. How much will my treatment cost?

Dr. Rosenlund will then outline a personalized Program of Care to help you in the short and long term. If you have a condition that requires care with other providers, Dr. Rosenlund will provide you with several recommendations and/or referrals.

Treatment – Your Program of Care

You will likely receive your first treatment following your Report of Findings; most patients do. Treatment may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies.  Treatment is interactive; you can express any concerns you have about the style of adjustment you will be most comfortable with.

Wellness Program

Before leaving, you will be instructed on a Wellness Program to be conducted at home.

For example, if you are in pain before your first visit, you will likely be instructed to apply heat and ice alternating at specific intervals. Also, you may be instructed to avoid certain activities or positions, and/or to perform specific exercises and/or stretches.
